The cycle route starts at a large parking lot in the middle of the Donovaly mountain resort. We go to the opposite side of the main road and continue along the blue cycle trail no. 2583. At the cycle trails crossing at “Bully – Polianka settlements”, we keep left and continue through Polianka settlement along the blue cycle trail towards Šachtička mountain resort (12.4 km).
At the end of the Polianka settlement, we turn left, come around the forest barrier and climb towards the forest. We continue along the forest road to the intersection of forest roads, where we turn right towards Šachtička mountain resort (11.2 km). The left turn leads along the green cycle trail to the spa of Korytnica. Furthermore, the cycling trail leads through the forest for a short time and then we can enjoy pleasant descents on extensive meadows with nice views, up to the intersection of forest paths named “Krčahy”. There we turn right, into the forest, towards Šachtička mountain resort (7.3 km).
We continue along the forest path and the blue cycle trail. 4.4 km, before the end of our ride we pass the unique historic mining water main of Špania Dolina, from where the green cycle trail no. 5586 to Špania Dolina village (8 km) or yellow cycle trail no. 8617 to Horný Jelenec settlement (5.6 km) start. However, we continue along the blue cycle trail to the Šachtička mountain hotel, from where we descend about 5 km along the 2nd class asphalt road to the Banská Bystrica city.
